My Story

I lived abroad for most of my childhood, immersed in the cultures and colours of South America and the Caribbean. I then travelled extensively throughout Europe and the US, before settling down to raise a family in the Cheshire countryside.

I began a new journey as an antiques dealer in 2010, seeking out vintage porcelaingorgeous prints and antiquarian books at auctions, and in markets and second-hand shops. I started selling my precious finds online and at antiques markets – and was able to make a living from it – although I did keep a few thingthat I couldn’t bear to let go!

I have always had an eye for colour and design and I wanted to produce something of my own, based on the beauty and patterns found in antique designs. I began by photographing some of my porcelain and developing a range of tea towels, which went down a storm with everyone I showed them to. I then added the botanical and zoological collections, and designed the packaging.

The Wanda Coyne Collection is now growing organically, as I develop new products and designsMy tea towels, aprons and tote bags are now being sold online and in independent gift and antique shops – with tablecloths and oven gloves on the way. Everything is printed and made up in the northwest of England, using a durable 100% cotton, machine-washable fabric.

Building my own business is a dream come true for meI am also a busy Mum, I teach Spanish to children and adults, and continue to trade antiques. Please do contact me with any questions or suggestions you may have – I will be happy to respond as soon as possible.
