Incredible depiction of the Passiflora or passionflower in this late 18thC botanical print by a German illustrator based in Switzerland. Christian Gottleib Geissler painted and engraved this design for the Swiss Botanist Johannes Gessner who published the Tabulae Phytographicae in 1795, containing dozens of scientific illustrations of plants.
