Description
These outlandish, exotic looking creatures were drawn in the early 1700s by a book dealer with a keen interest in tropical fish. He apparently drew them without ever having set foot outside of Europe, by using dried specimens brought back from the Far East or from verbal firsthand descriptions! Some have almost human faces.
Taken from an antique print and digitally printed using 100% quality half Panama cotton fabric producing a stunning and hard wearing tea towel with an aqua green border.
